The Problem
A shift worker receives a work schedule in a .PDF but wants to input it into Google Calendar for a more accessible format.
User Research
I used Prolific to survey 44 potential users. My research questions were:
How satisfied are users with existing solutions?
What do users find frustrating?
How willing are users to adopt a new solution?
What do users want to see in an AI solution?
Key Findings:
30% are dissatisfied with existing solutions
The main pain points in existing solutions:
Manually typing out information
Switching back and forth between schedule document and calendar app
85% are at least “slightly interested” in trying an AI solution
The main reason for adopting an AI solution would be speed
The main concerns are
privacy / security of personal data
accuracy
